Why do I emphasize this?

Post by jarinislamfatema »

I will talk about it in future articles and more than once. Many people (and I at one time too) believe that it is enough to learn the language of business modeling, and you will be able to build business processes. Practice shows that you can't do without basic knowledge here. And I strongly advise everyone who is just planning to study modeling to first familiarize themselves with the methodology, understand the general principles of business modeling, and acquire certain business analysis skills. And only then start studying BPMN or any other language.

And to understand the reasons for the emergence list of uganda whatsapp phone numbers of BPMN and all the nuances of modeling using this notation system, you will also need to know the main problems that BPMN solves, what was used for work before BPMN appeared, and what difficulties were encountered. After all, the emergence of new systems and notations is impossible without understanding certain problems. And I believe that this aspect is very important for understanding the essence of the question, what BPMN actually is. Personally, I first encountered BPMN about eight years ago, when I started studying the Bizagi Modeler system.

I became interested in this system because I had long understood the importance of modeling. Before that, I personally used IDEF0 and IDEF3, but I encountered certain limitations there. The thing is that IDEF0 is somewhat limited in the number of possibilities. And IDEF3 seemed to me to be overly strict and “dry”, it was difficult to model many types of business processes involving software products. At that time, Bizagi was a relatively simple module, which had a convenient editor for modeling (drawing) business processes, but there were no tools for executing business processes. But even then, the strict BPMN rules adopted in the Bizagi system helped to avoid a significant number of errors that are so common when "drawing" business processes in graphic editors or on paper.
