In the future, people will wear clothes with built-in displays, and more and more people believe in it every time. Chinese scientists managed to create a 6-meter fabric on which any information can be displayed. And we are not talking about a material with a “flexible” display glued on top, which breaks after a few hours of use. The created material is something like a symbiosis between cotton yarn and luminous threads. The fabric can be folded and even washed hundreds of times without fear of breaking anything.
The developers of the new material briefly explained what it consists of and for what purpose it can be used. For example, clothes made of such fabric can help mute people talk to the world around them. You malta number data can also sew clothes that show information about people's health in real time. In general, the technology is cool and if it takes root, we will be able to change the patterns on our T-shirts as easily as we change the wallpaper on our computer desktop.
The new material was created by weaving threads that conduct electricity and glow with ordinary cotton yarn. Scientists managed to create a piece of fabric 6 meters long and 25 centimeters wide. The roll contains 500,000 pixels, located at a distance of 800 microns from each other. The fabric can withstand 1,000 cycles of bending, stretching and compression, as well as 100 cycles of washing and drying. The image on the material is as bright as on a TV screen. And the material is well permeable to air - in such clothes the skin will clearly “breathe” well.
To display information on the created piece of fabric, you can connect a keyboard to it - apparently, the material is already connected to a small computer. You can also add a Bluetooth module, with which the fabric synchronizes with a smartphone and displays messages. If you equip the fabric with pressure-sensitive threads, you can write a response to these messages simply by pressing a virtual keyboard displayed on the clothing. It sounds cool and it would be funny to see people with such T-shirts on the street. You can say that this is a good alternative to smart watches, albeit an unusual one.
Fabric that can act as a display is another step towards developing smart clothing
