A search engine results page ( SERP ) is a web page displayed by a search engine in response to a user query. The main component of a SERP is the list of results returned by the search engine in response to a keyword query.
There are generally two types of results:
Organic search : content retrieved through search engine algorithms;
Sponsored Search: Advertising.
Results are usually sorted by relevance to the query.Each result philippine country code usually contains a title, a link toA link to the actual page on the Web and a short description (called a snippet) showing where the keyword matches the content of the organic result in the page. For sponsored results, advertisers can choose which content appears.

With so much content on the web, it’s no surprise that a single search query can produce countless pages of results. However, to avoid overwhelming users, search engines and personal preferences often limit the number of results displayed per page. As a result, subsequent pages may not be as relevant or ranked as the first page.
Just like traditional print media and its advertising, this enables competitive pricing of page space, but is complicated by the changing expectations and intent of consumers – unlike static print media, where, although this hard copy is localized to some degree, often by geographic location such as a state, metropolitan area, city or neighborhood, the content and advertising on each page is the same for all viewers, search engine results can vary based on individual factors such as browsing habits.

Organic search results, queries, and ads areSERPHowever, the three main components of major search engines such as Google, Baidu, and BingSERPMay include many different types of enhanced results (both organic and sponsored), such as rich snippets, images, maps, definitions, answer boxes, videos, or suggested search refinements.
One study showed that 97% of queries in Google returned at least one rich feature. Another study on the evolution of SERP interfaces from 2000 to 2020 showed that SERPs have become more diverse in terms of elements, aggregating content from different verticals and including more features that provide direct answers.
All major search engines visually differentiate specific content types, such as images, news, and blogs. Many content types have dedicated SERP templates and visual enhancements on the first search results page.
