itWee k: Do you think that the concerns of corporate customers about the reliability and security of clouds (availability of IT resources, data protection, etc.) that existed just a few years ago are now a thing of the past?
D.K.: No, I customers are starting to widely use clouds, including for solving business-critical tasks, but concerns remain. Although today they are of a slightly different nature than before.
If you look at the situation as it was ten or even five new zealand mobile database ago, then the mistrust of clouds was largely related to the category of emotions like "how can I give my data to a stranger for safekeeping!", although to a large extent these emotions had real grounds - after all, the technologies and the nature of relations with suppliers were not fully worked out. That is, these concerns were caused by mistrust of technical innovations. Such ideas are still prevalent today, but they are much less widespread than before.
Currently, the main concerns are not related to cloud technologies per se, but to external aspects: to regulatory and legislative requirements from the state (which tend to change, and in the direction of tightening) and malicious actions of various kinds of hackers, who are no longer just “bad people”, but often organizations with very serious resources.
The wariness of Russian clients towards services provided by foreign companies, especially if the computing resources are located abroad, has only increased in recent years, and, conversely, trust in domestic IT suppliers has increased, especially if they are supported by the state. In fairness, it must be said that the quality of services of our providers has also increased in recent years.
