We are pleased to announce the official launch of Vtiger CRM open source version 6.0.0, which was released for download on January 10th with much fanfare. We would like to start by highlighting that the release would not have been possible without all of you, our huge community of users, partners and developers, for using the software in your business, scrutinizing your experiences, reviewing lines of code, suggesting feature improvements, reporting bugs, fixing errors and spreading the word – a mammoth effort that we are all finally benefiting from starting today.
Marking the 6th major release of the open taiwanese numbers source Vtiger CRM in Vtiger’s 10-year history and the most significant software change in its history, all the bug fixes and new features you’ve heard about come bundled with a completely new interface. The interface is designed to bring frequently used information to the forefront, helping you find other data faster, collaborate with colleagues, complete tasks in fewer clicks, and move more smoothly from point A to point B. Functionally, you’ll find everything works more smoothly, from data entry to search, navigation, and more. When users or admins get stuck, new documentation and video tutorial pages can be referenced to cover any knowledge gaps. And under the hood, developers will find a new, more modular code structure with an accompanying community help site that will hopefully make customization and development easier.
We've summarized the list of major changes from 5.4 below. Note that we'll be releasing version 6.1 in the coming months to add some less frequently used areas of CRM that are still in demand, as well as add some important functionality enhancements we've been working on (see release summary ). Until then, enjoy and Happy New Year!
