Stop obsessing about visits and focus on attracting readers to your blog

The main obsession of both novice and advanced bloggers is increasing traffic. Few think about user experience and even less about converting visitors into readers.

For many bloggers, daily analysis of Google Analytics replaces the television program. I have already confessed in other posts that I am addicted to real-time statistics. Sometimes when I concentrate enough on the screen I manage to miraculously start to increase the visits…

Getting traffic actually has little to do with magic but rather is about hard and constant work in creating content. Many beginner bloggers waste a lot of time during the first year searching for the latest SEO tricks to go faster than usual. What they don't know is that Google works like a faucet and it won't turn on any faster than expected.
Becoming the cover of Meneame.net does not change anything at all.
The obsession with SEO is directly related to the search for jordan list traffic. I admit that in the first few years I did nothing else. You try to surpass the previous day's peak of traffic every day, just like a mountaineer trying to climb one 8,000-meter peak after another.
I remember those days when I managed to get some posts to the front page of Meneame.net simply to show that I was capable of doing it. Those days are long gone now and with this blog I have never wasted time “sneaking” some of my articles to generate thousands of hits and crash the servers.
Peaks in visits are great and when they happen they generate a moment of satisfaction, but the next day you get depressed because the 50 daily visits you had before have not increased at all. If you only obsess about traffic, you will not make any progress with your blog because you are making efforts that will not help you in the medium and long term.
