If you thought that the only thing that matters in a blog is the content, you're wrong. The blogger's personality makes the difference and this has to be made clear through the tone used.

I recently read a post by entrepreneur Xavi Sanchez titled “I rebel against the world .” It was the first post where he literally changed his tone and also explained why. It was Isra Garcia (“a man who makes maps” who convinced him to let go on his blog to reflect the person he really is. Xavi’s post inspired me days later to finally write this post about the importance of tone in a blog.

You can tell when it’s missing. Tone makes all the difference in a blog. The Germans say “der Ton macht die Musik”. Literally translated it would be “the tone makes the music”. It means that it’s not just jordan mobile number what we say that matters but also how we say it. Imagine a speaker who has spectacular slides but the monotony of his voice makes you sleepy. The same thing happens in a blog. If you want to avoid being that blogger who puts us to sleep, keep these aspects in mind.

1. Avoid “Hello, how are you?” – This is something I learned from one of my first German teachers. She forbade us to start a letter with that phrase because it clearly shows that you have no idea what you are going to say. Many blogs start with “Hello, how are you?” to break the ice with the reader. In reality, it only works for the blogger who manages to avoid the block because he or she is already writing something. If it works for you as a trick, don’t change the way you start a post. All you have to do is delete the first sentence when you have written the post to the end.

2. Show your personality : in a blog, the reader wants to find a blogger. This means showing part of your personality. It doesn't mean that you have to reveal intimate details, but you also don't have to hide or disguise who you really are. Trying to look like Superman doesn't really help to be liked. Those who don't hide their weaknesses but use them as a weapon of seduction are more likeable.

3. Don't use "you" or "vosotros" : address the reader as closely as possible. Using "you" creates distance. With "you" you always address several people and the person reading an article of yours doesn't really perceive that you are referring directly to them. The "you" creates the closeness that helps create the feeling that you have written the post for them.
