How many words are in a blog post?

There is no exact formula that predicts the ideal number of words in a post. However, there are different types of posts, of longer and shorter length, that offer different advantages to the blogger.

There is little doubt that if you don't want to or can't write more than 140 characters at a time, the best way to do this is to use Twitter. When you start your own blog, you should consider creating content beyond the space that a tweet allows. It's not about piling up meaningless words because you feel obliged to reach a minimum number.
