On Thursday, September 29th, Mynavi Creators held an online seminar entitled "Web Industry Evolution Practical Course #21: LIFULL Designers Talk about Border-Crossing Power and Mindset."

The "Web Industry Evolution Practical Course" is a course where you can learn about your career from role models working at the forefront of the web industry. This is the 21st installment of the series, and this time we welcomed Shinobu Tanaka from LIFULL Co., Ltd. as a guest to talk about the role of designers in business companies and the "power to cross borders."

Joined the company in 2012. Until 2016, he was in charge of service development, branding, and various promotions for the real estate and housing information site HOME'S (now LIFULL HOME'S). After the company name changed from "Next" to "LIFULL", he was involved in the creative development of new services such as LIFULL Regional Revitalization and LivingAnywhere Commons. He is currently in charge of the service design for LIFULL HOME'S as a whole.

Tanaka joined NEXT Co., Ltd. The first half of the seminar was about the role of designers in business operations. Generally, in a business company, various staff members with different occupations are involved in each business, and all of them share the mission of "growing their own company's business."

Tanaka: Designers are no exception, and design output is also one of the means to "grow a business company." To achieve this, LIFULL's designers are responsible for three areas: "brand," "service," and "communication."
