Together with the Swiss full-service digital agency Apps with love and INTR, we were able to help shape the marketing of the Peeps app in order to achieve new app installs. As part of the marketing, mso digital planned, implemented and managed the app user acquisition campaigns. Together with Apps with love, we recorded the learnings and what needs to be considered in app user acquisition campaigns in the blog post “ Using performance marketing to get new app users ”.
What exactly is the blog post about?
The aim was to generate as many app installs as possible for the Peeps app at a predetermined CPI (cost per install). In order to increase this, campaigns via Google Ads, Meta and Apple Search Ads were planned, implemented and managed by mso digital. In addition, the setup for Adjust, which is a Mobile Measurement Partner (MMP), was set up. Using Adjust, app tracking and reporting can be simplified when using multiple app campaigns via different tools. The tool data from all channels used can be presented in bundled reports.
In collaboration with Apps with love and INTR , the foundations necessary for a successful app user acquisition campaign were created in advance. This includes a good app with a good app store presence, the islands mobile numbers list installation of the software development kit (SDK), a clear definition of the target group and the creation of good creatives with a clear message.
The creation of the advertising material was implemented by INTR. Apps with love was responsible for the implementation of the app, the app store optimizations (ASO) and the necessary integration of analytics and attribution tools in the app code.
Since Peeps is a Swiss app, the budget was distributed among the individual channels based on the expected performance of the respective channel and the three national languages.
During the campaign, a variety of creatives were used according to predefined start and end times. The focus was on the major USPs of the Peeps app.
Over the campaign period of 2 months, the desired CPI was achieved and important insights were gained for the successful continuation of the app user acquisition campaigns.
