What is LinkedIn?
LinkedIn is a social media network that was specifically developed to maintain existing business contacts and make new business connections. What many people don't know: LinkedIn is even older than Facebook and has been available in German since 2009. Founded in 2002 and launched in May 2003, LinkedIn is about as old as its German counterpart XING (which launched in 2003 as OpenBC). In the DACH region, around 19 million people use LinkedIn ( as of November 2022).
