2. 5 types of logos
Before we dive into designing your logo, let’s look at the strengths and benefits of five different types of logos.
Pictogram
A pictogram or symbol logo is made using a single icon or symbol. While this logo uses the brand name, the idea is that the symbol is still recognizable even without the words.
Wordmark
This removes any extraneous design elements and puts the focus on your brand name.
Letter mark
A logo that uses minimal text usually the brand’s initials or the first letter algeria mobile database of the brand name to create a symbol or icon. This minimalist wordmark expression is a great choice for smaller placements and apps.
Combining Marks
A combination logo combines both the symbol and wordmark logo types. This logo is more demanding from a design perspective because you have to create two distinct elements that can work together or apart. This is also a big benefit because your brand can use either the symbol or the wordmark in different situations.

A coat of arms logo resembles a seal or emblem and includes the company name within the design. This unique logo has a rich history and was inspired by royal coats of arms. As seen in heraldry, there is an opportunity to incorporate layered meaning into a coat of arms logo.
