The EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has sparked a heated debate in professional circles and the press. Experts have expressed different opinions: they have analyzed numerous articles in the document and made predictions about the potential consequences of its implementation.
On May 25, 2018, the document came into force. The honduras mobile database did not end, interesting content is still posted on the Internet, social networks are still there. It is high time to think about why such radical measures as the adoption of the GDPR were needed.
When did the issue of data protection become truly relevant?
With the development of technology and the increase in its reliability, the emergence of high-speed Internet and new offers and services based on it, companies such as Google, Facebook, Amazon began to appear, the business model of which is based on the collection, analysis and execution of operations with user data. The process has accelerated significantly with the advent of smartphones and the widespread use of applications for them - Internet access has become possible not only from home and work computers.
Attackers and cybercriminals have also realized the high value of personal data. Of course, identity thefts have happened before. However, the huge volume of data, the low awareness of the subjects of this data, and the neglect of data security measures in the infrastructures of the companies that collect it have created ideal conditions for abuse.
