Create online whiteboards to use in your courses with Canva

Post by ayeshshiddika11 »

With this option you can create your own online whiteboard for your e-learning courses. Canva has several specific templates for brainstorming, explaining step-by-step procedures, designing mind maps or timelines, among many others.

One of the most interesting features of this option is that it is a collaborative tool in which you can work at the same time as other people in real time . This way, when another person is on the online whiteboard at the same time as you, you can both see your respective cursors. This is an excellent option to design collaborative activities with your students, and you can even use a timer so that everyone works at the same pace (in the case that you design a real-time activity in your course). How to make it collaborative? To do this, share the link with anyone by enabling the “View and edit” option.

Once inside your online whiteboard, you can iran phone data leave sticky notes with comments anywhere on the board, combine lines and shapes, and add graphic elements to show reactions. When you're done, you can download your whiteboard in JPEG, PNG, PDF, and other formats.

Presentations
Let’s move on to the slideshow! You can choose one of the many templates that Canva offers or design your presentation from scratch. The good thing about this type of design is that you can choose between different styles, color palettes and font sets so that your presentation looks visually harmonious. Also, in the “Compositions” tab you will find different slides already configured depending on the content you want to add to your presentation: cover, lists, collage, pie charts, diagrams, links to websites…

As a final touch to this option, we would like to highlight a very useful feature for your e-learning courses: the “Present and record” option. You can find it in the “Share” button and it is very interesting because it will allow us to create videos presented by ourselves based on the presentation we have designed, and we can also share the link to the video we have recorded or download it in mp4 format. Do you remember the “Canva recording studio” I was telling you about? Here we have it, a very interesting option to do all the work without having to use different programs.
